Randi Knott has spent more than 25 years working in and around government to help communities solve real problems — not by chasing headlines, but by doing the hard, often unglamorous work of public policy.
Randi has worked with cities and local governments on complex issues ranging from disaster response and public safety to land use, housing, and community services. Since retiring, Randi has continued her commitment to public service. She currently serves as an appointee of the Clark County Council to the Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board and previously served for over a decade on the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cal State Northridge.
But Randi’s most important qualification isn’t on her résumé — it’s her lived experience.
Randi is an Autism mom and a longtime advocate for neurodivergent people and families navigating education systems, healthcare, and public services that too often fail to plan for real lives. That perspective has shaped how she approaches policy: thoughtfully, inclusively, and with a deep respect for how decisions made in Olympia affect families day-to-day.
Randi has also owned and operated small businesses, including a bed-and-breakfast and a horse ranch in Brush Prairie. She understands firsthand the pressures facing working families, caregivers, and small business owners — especially as costs rise faster than paychecks.
Randi is running for State Representative because she believes Washington needs leaders who can balance progressive values with practical governance. She is focused on affordability, smart planning, strong public services, and protecting the social contract that allows communities to thrive.
She isn’t interested in political posturing. She’s interested in doing the work.
